Disclaimer
Last updated: March 8, 2026
The information provided by Calendar+ ("we", "us", or "our") on this web application (the "Service") is for general informational and personal organizational purposes only. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree to the disclaimers set forth in this document.
1. Calendar Date Accuracy
Calendar+ computes holiday and festival dates algorithmically using mathematical formulas including the Anonymous Gregorian Easter algorithm, Jean Meeus lunar phase equations, the Islamic tabular calendar, and Japanese equinox formulas. While we take care to ensure accuracy over the range 1970–2099, you should be aware that:
- Lunar-based festivals (Hindu festivals, Islamic holidays, Chinese calendar events) are computed from astronomical phase data and may differ from officially declared dates by ±1 day due to regional moon-sighting differences and observatory variations.
- Islamic holidays (Eid-ul-Fitr, Eid-ul-Adha, Muharram, Milad-un-Nabi) are based on the tabular Islamic calendar. Actual dates may differ by 1–2 days depending on the local crescent moon sighting in your region or country.
- Regional variations: Many holidays are observed on different dates in different states, provinces, or territories. Calendar+ shows general national observance dates for each country and does not account for regional or sub-national variations.
- Public holidays vs. observances: Some dates shown may be cultural observances, commemorations, or unofficial holidays rather than nationally mandated public holidays with paid leave.
- Government-declared holidays: Governments may declare additional one-time public holidays or move existing holiday dates. Calendar+ cannot reflect ad-hoc or prospective government announcements.
2. No Professional Advice
Nothing on this Service constitutes professional legal, financial, medical, religious, or any other form of certified professional advice. Calendar+ is a personal productivity tool only.
Specifically:
- Festival dates shown are not religious rulings or fatwas
- Astronomical data (moon phases, equinoxes) is approximate and not suitable for navigation, agriculture scheduling requiring high precision, or scientific research
- Date calculations are provided for convenience only and should not be used for legal deadlines, statutes of limitations, or contractual date calculations without independent verification
3. Advertising
Calendar+ does not currently display any third-party advertisements. No ad networks, tracking pixels, or affiliate links are present in the Service at this time.

7. Jurisdiction and Users Outside Supported Countries
Calendar+ provides holiday information for 10 countries: United States, United Kingdom, India, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Japan, Brazil, and China. For users in other countries, no holiday data is displayed. Festival dates for supported countries are based on national or widely recognized observances and may not reflect customs in all regions or communities within those countries.
8. Accuracy of Moon Phase Information
Moon phase indicators shown in Calendar+ are calculated using an approximate formula based on the known lunar cycle period. These are simplified representations suitable for general awareness only. For precise astronomical moon phase data, consult a dedicated astronomical ephemeris or an official observatory resource.
